Holly took her first steps to growing a passion for music thanks to her parents. Her Father fuelled her taste for an abundance of music genres through Bob Dylan, Pavarotti and Chrissie Hynde. This, in conjunction with her Mother introducing her to her first guitar and singing lessons sparked the musical flame.

Through high school, Holly sang in groups such as Jazz Bands and Choirs and competed in competitions around New Zealand. Even bringing home Most Outstanding Vocalist awards and Scholarships to take her music studies further.

Before settling down to study a Bachelor of Music Arts, at the Ara Institute of Canterbury, majoring in pop vocals, Holly decided to take her musicianship to an international scene. Teaching and performing music at a summer camp in New York City. She is now regularly gigging at local Christchurch live music hot spots. Showcasing either her soulful singing and guitar on a lazy Sunday afternoon or getting the party started on a Saturday night as the front woman of a rocking party band; Chilton House.

If Holly was to describe her music, she would say “think of all those songs you love and somehow, know all the words to.” She has worked hard to hone a setlist that caters for any type of audience, whether it be weddings, bars or community events. Even entertaining at the Canterbury Crusaders rugby team pre-season party. In 2018 she was invited to join Rudimental, a radio program on Plains FM to perform and discuss life as a young musician. But her most honourable performance was singing the New Zealand National anthem at the 9th annual Hororata Highland Games.

She is now focusing on singing in her band, Chilton House, who are for now entertaining as a covers band, but hopes to produce original music in the future.
