Amber Carly Williams

Emerging Pop/R&B singer-songwriter and performer

Amber Carly Williams is an 18-year-old emerging Pop/R&B singer-songwriter from Christchurch, New Zealand. Her debut EP ‘Ocean of Confusion’ was released in June of this year and plans to have more releases in the coming months. Amber performs regular gigs around Canterbury and recently hosted a release show where she debuted her new releases.

This EP was produced with the help of Marley Sola, an incredibly talented well-known local artist. Marley was a member of the band ‘Moorhouse’ that placed fourth on ‘The X Factor’ NZ in 2013, before splitting a few years later.

While focusing on her solo works, Amber also involves herself in collaborations with other local musicians as well as bands and choirs. Her songwriting shows elements of Pop, Indie and R&B, however, she is passionate about experimenting with many different sounds such as her current participation in a gospel group and a few various bands.

In 2019, Amber placed second in the ‘Smokefree RockQuest’ Canterbury regional finals playing her song ‘Lights Down Low’ with her loop pedal. Since this performance she has used a loop for all of her gigs and is now very confident with it and has a whole new atmosphere while performing that gives more than just a ‘solo’ sound. Amber has been given a slot at Bay Dreams 2021 which will help kickstart her music career at New Zealand’s biggest festival.
