CAMERON BURNETT, a native of Christchurch, New Zealand, took up drumming at the age of 12. After years of private tuition, Cameron was formally educated at the Christchurch Jazz School by local jazz drumming legend Ted Meager. Experienced in a vast array of styles including jazz, metal, pop, electronic and rock, he is a prolific performer, composer and educator.

CAMERON BURNETT, a native of Christchurch, New Zealand, took up drumming at the age of 12. After years of private tuition, Cameron was formally educated at the Christchurch Jazz School by local jazz drumming legend Ted Meager. Experienced in a vast array of styles including jazz, metal, pop, electronic and rock, he is a prolific performer, composer and educator.

Having played with the likes of Moorhouse, Maya Payne, Awakened Inferno, rock musical That Bloody Woman, popular theatre shows Grease and Cabaret (MUSOC), jazz/covers group The Velvetines, and many other acts, Cameron is a prolific, versatile, in-demand performer.

As a composer, Cameron shows his stylistic bandwidth on releases such as Awakened Inferno’s “Fire in the Hole” album (for which he produced, engineered and edited much of the material), Maya Payne’s “Fragile” single, and numerous others.

Cameron is a passionate ambassador of music education and finds immense satisfaction and pride in inspiring the next generation of up-and-coming drummers. Cameron currently offers private drum tuition in North Canterbury. Head to his website for testimonials and other information.
