Jess Bannister

Acoustic Singer songwriter, born and raised in West Auckland

Jess Bannister, raised in West Auckland, has been in many choirs, singing groups and bands in the past, and now continues to venture into her love for music at the ARA Jazz school in Christchurch. Jess also used to volunteer perform at retirement villages, local libraries and in local festivals and markets.

She has performed to audiences of thousands for events such as ANZAC day ceremonies, and participated in the solo/duo category of ‘Smokefree Rock quest’ and ‘Play it strange’ songwriting competitions for 3 years running during her high school years. She has also participated in school productions as a lead vocalist.

Winning the Greenbay High School Arts and School Service award in 2016, as well as being offered 5 scholarships over New Zealand for the arts, you can see that she is quite a musical and creative artist, who someday hopes to have music and arts in her future and career.
