Leah Kelsey, born and raised in Canterbury, is an acoustic singer, songwriter. She has been playing acoustic guitar since the age of 11.
In 2015 she gained fast recognition as a talented singer in her hometown Kaiapoi when she appeared in the local High School’s ‘Grease’ production as Sandy, singing with an incredible likeness of Olivia Newton John, in front of thousands of people.
Leah’s past music experience has seen her compete in the Christchurch Rockquest, Rangiora Centre stage, various choirs and Kaiapoi talent shows.
She has performed on stage at the Kaiapoi town carnival and also alongside Marley (ex Moorhouse Boy band member) when he recently toured Christchurch.
Leah Kelsey is currently a first year student studying a Bachelor in Music Arts at the Christchurch ARA Jazz School. She is enthusiastic about experimenting in the music scene around her with an aim to have music in her future.
