Well rounded drummer with a solid history of jumping onto last minute gigs to save the day. Well networked and deeply entrenched in the NZ metal scene, Levi recently finished his Bachelor of Music Degree at Jazz School, achieved success as a cruise ship drummer, toured the world several times with his band Organectomy, and is always looking for his next challenge!

Levi is a highly experienced live drummer, who comes from a predominantly metal and rock background playing in such bands as Thy Assassin, Vargafrost, Vesicant and most recently ‘Organectomy’ who have taken him all over the world on multiple successful US, EU, and Australian tours.
In 2021 he chose to study Jazz drums at Ara in Christchurch to further develop his chops in unfamiliar areas, whilst becoming a more versatile drummer during the restrictive covid borders which were hindering him from traveling/touring abroad.
He jumped head first into the Cruise Ship industry through P&O for 5 months in the middle of his studies to level up his jazz playing and sight reading whilst on the job.
The instrumental ambient studio project ‘Distance’ enlisted Levi in 2022 to help the transition into becoming a fully live band – who are now currently enjoying moderate success within NZ as the leading Post-rock trio in the country.
Levi first picked up the sticks in 2005 at age 12, and quickly developed a fierce passion for a strong a relentless groove, all through disciplined self directed learning and practice, often via YouTube.
When he’s not grinding away in the shed, you can often find Levi climbing mountains in the Canterbury region as another form of release/meditation
