Performing Drummer from Christchurch

Sam is a performance and session drummer based in Christchurch.

Sam completed his Bachelor’s Degree in music in 2016, graduating in 2017. For final major project in Ara’s course, he devised a drum resource method for intermediate to advanced level drummers, focussing on coordination and time. The method explores different perspectives within these concepts and provides helpful exercises to enhance a drummers playing ability and potential.

His focus has broadly been on genres within the contemporary side of music, but he has had training in Jazz drumming in previous years.
